A visit to Roaring Camp is a return to an 1880’s California logging town complete with general store, depot, engine house, covered bridge, opera house and other vintage structures. Upon arrival (12 Noon), we will enjoy a HOSTED BOX LUNCH at the outdoor picnic area. MENU at the time of signups: 1) Salami/Provolone Sand-wich 2) Turkey Sandwich OR 3) Eggplant Sandwich, including a fruit, cookie, chips & bottled water. There is a short walking trail that you can enjoy along with a gift shop that you can visit (suggest you wear closed toe shoes-NO SANDALS). In addition, they usually have an attraction that you can watch, i.e. blacksmith demon-stration. After lunch, we will enjoy a train ride on an open-air Beach train traveling along the San Lorenzo Riv-er Gorge to the Boardwalk of Santa Cruz at the shores of Monterey Bay (1:45pm boarding-train ride from 2pm -3pm). You will have an hour to browse, shop and enjoy the boardwalk before departing for home on the Marin Charter & Tours Bus at 4:15 PM. Gratuity included & escort.
